Join us on Wednesday,
July 3rd for a webinar entitled, “What happens if the JCPOA collapses?“. This webinar will address the
effects of the possible reintroduction
of UN sanctions on Iran following the termination or breach of the Joint
Comprehensive Plan of Action.
We will also cover:
- a brief introduction to the current situation, including the JCPOA, the US withdrawal from the JCPOA, and the EU blocking Regulation;
- how the United Nations multilateral sanctions on Iran that are currently suspended might be re-imposed (so-called “snapback”), and what that would mean in practical terms for parties trading with Iran;
- what impact, if any, snapback would have on the current US position, in particular any activity under secondary sanctions; and
- how the EU might re-impose sanctions, what that might mean for existing contracts under EU jurisdiction, and whether the EU Blocking Regulation has to be amended, and whether Brexit would have any significant impact on the EU’s position.
The webinar will begin at 11:00 AM Eastern (US) and is scheduled to run approximately 90 minutes. If you reside in a different time zone and wish to verify your time – please click on the following link: www.timeanddate.com.
