On August 23, 2017, the dates and draft agenda for the sixtieth session of the Harmonized System Committee of the World Customs Organization were published in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Customs Bulletin and Decisions.
In accordance with section 1210 of the Omnibus Trade and Competitiveness Act of 1988 (Pub. L. 100–418), the Department of Homeland Security, represented by CBP, the Department of Commerce, represented by the Census Bureau, and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), jointly represent the U.S. The CBP representative serves as the head of the delegation at the sessions of the HSC.
Set forth in the Customs Bulletin and Decisions is the draft agenda for the next session of the HSC, which will be the sixtieth and it will be held in Brussels from September 27, 2017 to October 6, 2017. Copies of available agenda-item documents may be obtained from either Joan A.
