On August 27, 2013, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación (Federal Official Gazette) an Acuerdo announcing that Mexico and Guatemala had agreed that the Free Trade Agreement Between the United Mexican States and the Republics of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua would enter into force between Mexico and Guatemala on September 1, 2013. Several related documents were published by the Ministry of the Economy at the same time.
The FTA entered into force among Mexico and El Salvador and Nicaragua on September 1, 2012, between Mexico and Honduras on January 1, 2013, and between Mexico and Costa Rica on July 1, 2013. |
