Luncheon Discussion on How Recent Developments in Latin America Impact Western Hemisphere Security

Join us on Thursday, June 29 for our next Aerospace and Defense (A&D) luncheon, a roundtable discussion with General (ret.) Douglas M. Fraser, former Commander of the US Southern Command (June 2009-November 2012), which is responsible for all Department of Defense (DoD) security cooperation in the 45 nations and territories of Central and South America and the Caribbean Sea.  Major General Scott F. Smith will participate in the discussion to provide additional insight on current DoD initiatives in the region. He was the former Executive Officer to General Fraser and is currently the Director of Training and Readiness for the US Air Force.

General Fraser will discuss how recent developments in Latin America impact security in the hemisphere.  He also will discuss the path forward for constructive US engagement with Latin America.  This discussion will be especially relevant for professionals in the A&D industry and companies with significant investments in Latin America.  Howard Weissman and Ambassador Hector Morales of Baker McKenzie will serve as moderators for this discussion.

If you are interested in attending this small, high-level luncheon discussion, please check on the RSVP button.  Please RSVP by Monday, June 26th.

This discussion is subject to the Chatham House Rule.  Press is not allowed at this event.

We look forward to your participation in this discussion.
